Cabinet Knobs

For a classic look, Chateau and Century have a stepped, rimmed face. For something simpler, Belgravia, Bentleigh and Simply are smooth rounds, and Glossy Grace is a small ball knob. For texture, Knurled, Nordic and Stria have a ribbed surface you can see and feel.

Knobs fix through a single hole, so there's no hole spacing to match. There's no rule on size, but the most common are 28, 30 and 32mm across; each product page gives the size. On cupboard doors, fit the knob on the edge opposite the hinge: at the bottom corner on overhead cupboards, at the top corner on base cupboards.

Knobs are usually paired with handles, and most of ours come as a collection with a matching handle of the same name — Belgravia, Bentleigh, Century, Glossy Grace, Knurled, Nordic, Simply and Stria. Put the knob on the doors and the handle on the drawers, and the room matches by design. Chateau is the exception: it has no matching handle, and pairs well with classic handles such as Stratford or Regal.

Knobs are for light-duty doors. They're most often used on overhead cupboards and the cupboard under the kitchen sink, with handles on the drawers, which gives a balanced look rather than handles everywhere. Use the same finish across knobs, handles and pulls for a consistent look.
